Believe it or not this was the first type of landscape I intended to study while in Amsterdam. Realistically, I didn’t think it would be a good idea to be hanging around an airport taking pictures and scribbling in a notebook all day, might seem suspicious. I was hoping to study complex logistically oriented landscapes like an airport, seaport, or distribution center. I don’t think my proposed study of infrastructure corridors is too far off my original interest.
I am interested to see what Schiphol is like. I have heard that it is a very different airport; convenient is a word I hear a lot. I remember seeing Adriaan Gueze speak at Syracuse about Schiphol last year. The pictures on WEST 8’s website make it look more like a horticultural exhibit than an airport.
